OK, So they've given us this line for the past... what is it? 20 years or so, and everyone knows it, right? They obviously mean to avoid illicit or 'recreational' drugs when they say that, but lately I've noticed something.

I'm not the kind of person to try everything that comes across my path, but I know a few things, including the REAL dangers of recreational drugs (which can be severe in many cases, but tend to be MUCH less scary than the propaganda machine would have you believe). This in... (more)

Today, thanks to the vortex-like draw of Wikipedia, I ended up reading a lot about the DeFeo family, and the Lutz family. Sound familiar? They are the subjects of the first 2 or 3 Amityville Horror movies. In my reading, I re-discovered the fact that Amityville Horror was re-made in 2005. I'd completely forgotten about that.

So that brought to mind the question -- why do they keep remaking movies?!

I can't think of any real reason to remake a movie. You have sucky movies -- a... (more)

Too young.
Brittany Murphey was a beautiful girl with a beautiful spirit.
It's true she did mindless movies, but she was funny and charming and I'm going to miss the crap she made. I loved uptown girls.

I want to start by saying I know I don't have to watch it and I can just turn it off. I watched only 1/3 of an episode and this is my opinion on "Jersey shore."

Besides being just another addition to the mindless drivel MTV calls programming, Jersey Shore is an affront to everything I stand for as a jersey girl. It is an irreversibly negative portrayal of not only the great state of New Jersey, but a terrible portrayal of east coast youth. Not to mention Italians. And I want it off. Besi... (more)

So they play the LiteFM over the PA 24 hours a day in my office.

Its at low volume, but you can hear it, always.

They play the same 50-100 songs all the time. The same 50-100 songs they played in 2005, are the same songs they play now. They might have added 2 or 3 into the rotation. But its generally the same garbage all day long.

And it really is the worst music ever. I *love* music. And I hide inside headphones to cover it up with real music when I can. But for most of the day I... (more)

Wouldn't it be cool if when America voted silently in their minds for pop stars to just give it up already they would just disappear? Well, lets try it. I'll go first. Miley Cyrus...enough already!

News is not supposed to be entertaining.
Its supposed to be informative, of IMPORTANT things, that effect, oh you know.. like.. the world?

It bothers me how this Tiger Woods nonsense is still being talked about getting all this news media time, while the UN Climate Chance Conference in Copenhagen is barely mentioned. And the only mention of it is that our celebrity President is going there after he collects a few Nobel Peace Prizes.

These are world altering events and the news spends mor... (more)
