I'm proud of our new Governor Christie. How brave to stand up to the NJEA (teachers union) to take back control of our property taxes - the highest in the nation.

The entitlements to our civic employees throughout the state, counties and municipalities is out of line with the business world. Over the last few years, most residents find that salary cuts, reduced benefits, and job insecurity or loss is a regular part of our lives. So is dealing with less; less salary, less benefits, less groce... (more)

We are in desperate times. I hear our great nation speaking out in support of the Arizona immigration movement and rightly so in my opinion. Since the Federal government has not stepped in to help our border states, they have desperately stepped up to deal with the situation. Good for them.

Stop crying about "my Grandfather, born here, will get stopped by the police and have to produce 'papers' because of his 'appearance'. We ALL have to produce valid ID when we encounter a law official.

So I would just like to ask, what is so wrong with reading the occasional trashy magazine? You know what I'm talking about: US Weekly, People, Life&Syle, etc. Yes,I know all they are filled with are breakups, hookups, who looks better in what outfit, who got fat and who got too thin, how to lose 10lbs in 5min, who's in rehab, and the Kardashians latest activity like getting the mail, HOWEVER, is engaging in a little brain dumping really that horrible of a thing?

Now I can understand if that ... (more)

So in the past few years since Lance Armstrong has popularized the Tour de France and bicycling in the US, there's been an upsurge in number of bicyclists on the roads for fun. This is cool, great for fitness, etc... But when you and two or three of your friends go for a ride and block the road 4 abreast, this is not cool!

Like the title says, my parents taught me when I was little that you ride your bike on the side of the road so you don't get hit by a car. Lately I've been seeing more peop... (more)

Recent political argument has relied on name calling to respond to issues - a closed mind approach to solving the world's problems. I believe in listening deeply to intelligent discussion, identifying points of agreement, dissent and compromise. Sometimes, I come away with a slight change of opinion. Name calling is not argument. It does not solicit opinion. It does not solve problems.

Healing through prayer and forces of will healing have been around and documented for centuries and nobody seems to know how they work. Strangely nobody in any official position seems to care. Think of the money that could be saved, the pain and suffering of chronic/permanent injuries which could be avoided. The only draw backs that I can see is a lot of doctors and bureaucrats would be out of work, the drug companies would also lose a lot of business. Since doctors cannot heal a sprained ankle ... Is that not an awe inspiring word. It came to me one day as I listened to the news of another "holocaust denier" being prosecuted I really had no clue what the word means. Sure I've heard it used by the Jews to describe what happened to them during WW2 but the terms mass murder and genocide describe it quite adequately. So I looked it up.

Holocaust-massive death and destruction by fire. An example the great fire of London. That was an awe inspiring event.

I've studied WW2 extensively and t... (more)

I love the freedom of speech that we enjoy. I love the fact that someone can get excited or even angry about something and discuss or argue it freely.

It really bothers me when people rant and rave and expect to be taken seriously. How to do it wrong:

Dr.Oz I have had over 9 to10 Hernia surgeies I lost count . Since 2004 I've had 10 hospitialization in about 5 of those Hernia operations were within that time and I am still not FIXED FIXED FIXED FIXED YET ! ! ! ! .because something w... (more)
